Hi Jim,
Thanks for the compliment. I have worked very hard and have been through a number of challenging situations, in order to gain an insight into life in general, and into this industry.
To answer your question about the time I was in semi-retirement, I was still gaining experience throughout this period. During this seven-year period, my staff took care of the day to day support of my organizations. I still kept informed on developments within the industry. I was presented with statistics and briefed on all relevant information on a weekly basis.
In accessing the relevance of being experienced in relationship to the interest of a prospect, you must ask yourself, what does the term mean. The value of experience is found in the wisdom and knowledge that is derived from that experience and how it is applied in the practical realm.
The more experienced you are and the more you have learned from that experience, the deeper insight you will have in the next experience.
I have learned much from my experiences and studies. I continued to learn during the period that I was more focused on humanitarian concerns. I believe my statements of "being a leader in the industry for 32 years" or "having 32 years of successful experience" are accurate. Thanks for the questions.
