Hi Art,

Autism is a term used to represent certain symptoms. There are several theories on what causes Autism. If Autism is a immune system dysfunction then transfer factor could be beneficial. Here the cow would not have to experience the symptoms of Autism. Transfer factors have functions that balance the immune system out side of tne antigen specific factors. If Autism finds its roots in an infection, tf could help if the cow was exposed to the infection causing agent. The agent would not have to cause Autism in the cow in order for the tf to carry information on the infection causing agent. Also the transfer factor has innate capabilities that do not depend on the cow being exposed to a particular pathogen. This side of the cow's immune system is much stronger than our innate side of immune system. This is because the cow is exposed to so many specific threats that the immune system, in general, is more experienced and "exercised." In consuming the cow's transfer factor, we enhance both the specific function and general function of the immune system.
