Banned Excel? and are MLM products certified? By whom?

I have heard that the Excel line has been banned in the USA? Is this true?
If not, how would I know about it? Secondly, who does the test on this "nutritional"
"supplemental" products, which is always vague about its "helpful" aspects and
would deny that it directly helps cure some diseases. Is there a goverment or
national agency that regulates these products?
