I am sorry to read about your friend. I was dignosed with the same illness, and my MD specialist gave me a glum forcast for what my future would be, stating there was nothing that can slow this down or stop it. Also that at some point, the pain medication, no matter how strong, will relieve the pain.
If you would like to put me on a 3 way call with you friend, I will share my experience, which has dramatically improved, and turned out to be VERY GOOD. I am sooo fortunate.
