FTC TO ENACT FEDERAL "DO NOT CALL" REGISTRY
If you hate getting calls from telemarketers in the middle of dinner,
you'll love this. If you're a network marketer who does a lot of
prospecting over the phone to lead lists, you might be in big trouble.
Basically, the FTC is going to launch a federal "do-not-call" registry
where any one can put their name on a list of those who do not want to be
called by telemarketers. If they call you anyway you can file a complaint
with the FTC and the offending company can be fined as much as $11,000 PER
CALL! The law takes effect October 1st, 2003
