Dear PN Partners:
This is sad time in our history -- WAR is at hand in Iraq -- yet we're all involved, because every hour, on TV, radio and the press, the reports 'bombard' us with the news and the pictures. Many of us have loved ones who are engaged in service or battle there.
No one can defend the crimes of Saddam Hussein against his own people and against neighboring countries. Living in a fallen and broken world, we cannot from time to time escape the reality that taking life may actually be required of us if we are to stop yet worse
chaos. It remains a moral imperative that the attacking forces always have to take into very, very strong consideration, the civilian casualties that are likely to emerge. This is a tragedy.
Our hearts and thoughts are with those who fight for the liberation of Iraqi citizens, and with their families and loved ones.
Let's pray that this war is over quickly and without much suffering or human loss - so that we can witness the birth of Iraq's reconstruction - and the dream of their freedom.
