There's an old saying that -- "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
I cannot speak for others, but what I can tell you is, I personally wish I had had access to
Mike's outstanding Document (of which Pay Plans are only a tiny fraction of the COMPENSATION story - including "compression" -- I only wish I could have been guided by it many years ago. To me, this is a classic. It alone, would have saved me much time, frustration and money -- and it would have pointed the way for me, to earlier success in this industry.
You'd think that with a background of being a Business and Financial Consultant, plus with
having over 16 years of experience in this industry, that I could have easly done this kind of due dilligence and research myself -- because after all, that's what I "do" for clients, in
researching and analysing the business, tax and investment offerings they get 'bombarded' with all the time. Well the simple answer is, I couldn't have -- nor could have most others in
our industry. In fact, to my knowlege, a study of this magnitude has never been done before.
Mike's Document, first of all, is the culmination of years and years of his 'own' hands-on efforts
and experience -- and the resulting education and wisdom. Further, it represents a completely
independent (and costly) study of more than 300 different MLM programs, where marketing trends, attrition rates, compensation strategies, product philosophies, support strategies, growth patterns, business principles -- and many other issues -- were carefully researched, documented,
analysed, and finally released.
To me, this Document -- like his "Science Behind the Pay Plan" -- should be 'required reading' for every new (and seasoned) professional in our industry. Each is a masterpiece -- each is an in depth, intelligent look at this industry, and all the various forces at play.
Your friend has missed the much bigger picture I feel.
