This is a very good example of why you shouldn't make cure claims.

Thanks Roger for sharing this article with us. The reason why Ovimmune got in trouble is because the company or distributors were making "cure" or drug claims. We should all learn for this example. It is important that we do not make claims that our product cures disease. Our product effects that immune system. The immune system is very complex in its healing process.

The FDA is concerned that people may replace medicine with nutrients in serious health conditions. Also, the FDA is concerned that individuals may postpone medical treatment in hopes that nutrition may cure them. This is a legitimate concern. We should all strive to make our products available to individuals without interferring with traditional medical treatment. We do not want to be guilty of someone dying because they did not pursue medical assistance because of claims made that our product could replace medical treatment.

The extensive warnings at the top of this board is an attempt to clearly teach people the dynamics of testimonies, statements and studies. It is our heart's desire to help people become healthier but not mislead people into substituting our product for medicine. We view our products as one player in an overall protocol for achieving good health.

Sometimes many of us believe the FDA goes too far in their sincere efforts. At the same time we need to be considerate of their core purpose. I look for the day when the FDA, the medical community and nutritional minded people can all work together to help our society achieve better health. Mike
